Bringing back the tape folder
Everyone says they can't find a tape folder anymore. So we're bringing it back, and we've improved it. The fingers where the tape feeds out are what do the folding, and they flex, so they keep a tight pinch on the paper as it slides through.
Paper tape is getting harder to fold. It comes with a centre crease pressed into it, but as the paper gets cheaper that crease is getting shallower, so the tape doesn't fold as clean or as easy as it used to. Fold a batch by hand and the fold gets worse as you go.
How it works
Feed the tape in and pull it through. The fingers squeeze the paper together as it passes, so the fold lands dead in the middle and comes out crisp.
The first length you fold is as good as the last. With your fingers it gets progressively worse; with this it's the same every time. And it's faster, so it saves time on every job.
Hand it to your apprentice and the tape comes back bang on, every length, without you checking it.
