Questions tradesmen ask us

Straight answers for drywall tapers, finishers and plasterers: what the Morph Sander and Morph Master fit, what they take and how we ship. If yours isn't here, ask us.

What sandpaper does the Morph corner sander use?

The pads we sell: RoccTec Elite corner sanding pads, 150 grit, in packs of 5.

They are made from Jost Useit Superpad abrasive. The backing is paper, so you can crease it to a sharp corner. There is a foam layer behind the paper, so the sander follows the imperfections. And it is soft, so it won't cut into the paper tape that joins the boards in the corner.

We only do 150 grit. That paper is thicker and takes longer to split.

Caught without them? A 225 mm round pad from a power sander will get you through. Fold it in half so the crease sits in the apex, then cut the curved top and bottom off square so the sander can get right into the floor and the ceiling.

The rubber nose behind the pad is the Hyperflex tip. One comes with the sander; replacements are sold separately.

What sandpaper does the Morph Master pole sander use?

Trim-Tex Black Widow sanding pads, the foam-backed pads sold in boxes of 6.

The Morph Master runs two of them lengthways, and two come with it. Pick the grit the way you would for any pole sander.

Do the Morph sanders come with a handle or a pole?

Morph Corner Sander

No. You get the sander head with one Hyperflex tip. It runs on a standard corner finishing handle, or on a paint pole with our Ball Adaptor.

The Morph System bundle does not include a handle either.

Morph Master Pole Sander

No pole included. It fits any standard paint pole.

What pole or handle do the Morph sanders fit?

Morph Corner Sander

Fits any standard corner finishing handle: the ball-joint handle you run a flusher, glazer or angle head on. Don't have one? Can-Am and Columbia both make them (the Can-Am Corner Finisher Handle and the Columbia Angle Head Handle).

We also sell a Ball Adaptor, which fits any standard paint pole.

Morph Master Pole Sander

Fits any standard paint pole.

What is the Morph Sander?

A pole-mounted sander for inside drywall corners (internal plasterboard corners, if you're in Australia).

The head sits in the corner and sands both faces at once as you run it along, so you do corners from the ground in one pass instead of on a ladder with a block.

The Morph Sander was designed by an Aussie tradesman and is patent pending.

What is the Hyperflex tip and how long does it last?

The tip is the rubber nose of the Morph Sander that conforms to the corner.

The Hyperflex tip flexes instead of crushing, so it survives a toolbox and a knock on the ground, and lasts at least five times longer than the original tip in normal use.

One is included with the sander.

What does the Morph Master do that a normal pole sander doesn't?

It covers the full width of a drywall join in one pass.

The Morph Master runs two Trim-Tex Black Widow pads lengthways, so you get the squish of the old sanding blocks with less weight: about a third of the original Joinmaster.

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship from Queensland, Australia. Allow up to 3 business days for dispatch.

Australia: 1 to 5 business days after dispatch. US and Canada: 5 to 10 business days after dispatch.

If it's urgent, pick express at checkout and we prioritise it.

If it's taking longer than that, email support@morphtools.com and we'll chase it.

How do I track my order?

You get an email with tracking when your order leaves the warehouse.

If it hasn't turned up in the times above, or you never got an order number, email support@morphtools.com with the name and email you ordered with and we'll chase it. A real person replies, usually inside 24 hours.

Where do you ship, and will I pay import duty?

Australia, the United States and Canada, with prices shown in your local currency.

Import duties outside the US and Australia may apply, so Canadian orders can attract a small charge on arrival.

Somewhere else? Email support@morphtools.com before you order and we'll tell you if we can get it to you. See the shipping policy for details.

The item I want is sold out or on pre-order. What now?

Stock lands in batches. If it shows pre-order you can order now and it ships with the next batch.

If it shows sold out, email support@morphtools.com and we'll tell you the date and let you know the moment it's back.

The Ball Adaptor sells out most often. In the meantime a Can-Am Corner Finisher Handle or a Columbia Angle Head Handle runs the Morph Sander.

Is there a discount code or a bundle deal?

Two ways to save. The Morph System bundle puts the corner sander, the pole sander and a 5 pack of Elite pads together for less than buying them one at a time.

And when you enter your email on the site, a 10% off welcome code is emailed to you and applies at checkout.

Do you still sell the Morph Small 2.5 inch sander and its tips?

Yes. The Morph Small, the 2.5 inch corner sander, is back on the site. Same design as the Morph XL with a 2.5 inch head for tighter internals.

It takes the same Elite pads as the XL, cut down to fit the 2.5 inch head.

For its tips, email support@morphtools.com with what you need and we'll sort it out.

What is the guarantee, and how do I return something?

A 30-day money-back guarantee on every tool, including the bundle.

Use it on a job. If it isn't for you, email support@morphtools.com with your order number within 30 days and we'll walk you through the return. The refund policy has the details.

Can I buy Morph tools in a shop?

In Canada, from CSR Building Supplies and Bart's Taping Tools. Everywhere else, from this site.
